Dental Crowns & Bridges, Okanagan Valley Dentist

What are Dental Crowns & Bridges?

Our dentists at Peachland Dental in Okanagan Valley can use crowns and bridges to help restore your smile's normal function and appearance.

These restorative dental treatments can help fill space left by missing teeth. they can also help you maintain the natural shape of your face and the appearance of your smile.

By repairing structural issues such as missing or damaged teeth with a dental bridge or crown, our dentists can help restore your smile – along with your oral health.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are placed over an entire damaged or decayed tooth to help restore its natural colour, size and shape. With a dental crown, your dentist can help improve the strength, function and appearance of a broken tooth that may otherwise need to be extracted.

These very durable restorations can be made of numerous materials, including metal and porcelain. They generally look and function similar to natural teeth. Crowns could last for 10 years or more if cared for properly.

Dental Bridges

This aptly named dental restoration 'bridges' a gap of missing teeth in your mouth. Comprised of one or more artificial teeth, a custom-made bridge will be attached to teeth on either side of this gap to help fill the space. Bridges are typically difficult to detect, as they can have a natural appearance.

Your dentist can place a bridge to help keep your other teeth from shifting positions to fill the space, which may lead to more serious dental issues, such as gum disease.
