At Peachland Dental, our dentists perform a range of oral surgery procedures for our patients in the Okanagan Valley, to treat dental issues and help improve your oral health.
Oral surgery covers the diagnosis and surgical treatment of defects, injuries and diseases of the hard and soft tissues in your face, mouth, teeth and jaws.
We are committed to using the least invasive treatment possible for any dental problem. However, in some cases less invasive treatment options will simply prove ineffective, and oral surgery is needed.
While we always prefer to save a natural tooth, in some cases this can prove impossible. If gum disease, injury or decay leads to excessive tooth damage, your dentist may need to remove the tooth, then review tooth replacement options with you.
This final set of molars emerge in the back corners of a normal adult mouth. If your wisdom teeth are causing oral hygiene issues, your dentist may recommend having them removed to help preserve your oral health.
